A3P Biomedical Ab (publ) is looking to recruit a Laboratory Manager to join the team in Uppsala

Your new role

As a Laboratory Manager, you will lead the daily operations which means ensuring that Test delivery process follows; samples logistics, test methods, quality controls of incoming reagents, consumables, and control samples and that incident and non-conformities be investigated, mitigated and preventive. In this manager role, you also organize and lead necessary forums continuously.

Within the scope of lab related activities, you ensure that objectives for the function are achieved, and you define realistic and measurable objectives in the annual quality plan. You implement and follow these up within the function. You also ensure that the lab personnel work according to QMS standards by following SOPs and instructions as well as ensuring there are appropriate numbers of staff with the required education, training, and competence to provide medical laboratory services that meet the needs and requirements of the users. Here you drive and push for continuous improvement for the team and the team´s processes to simplify and improve the QMS to support the business. You also provide professional development programs for laboratory staff and opportunities to participate in scientific activities of professional laboratory organizations and you motivate, develop, and lead employees according to the company core values.

Within the scope of tasks is also implementation of safe laboratory environment in compliance with good practice and applicable requirements, contribution to the customer complaints, involvement in risk management process and procedures. You manage change control processes and procedures and escalate issues that cannot be managed within the function (incl. Risk management).

Competence Requirements


University degree in appropriate applied science, e.g. biochemistry or other relevant University degree.


  • Documented experience of testing clinical samples in a medical laboratory.
  • Broad laboratory background, understanding cross-functional aspects of medical laboratory business.
  • Good people skills.
  • Line management experience.
  • Experience of working with LEAN processes.
  • Documented experience of working with the complexity of line operations and
    new/ongoing projects.
  • Experiences in cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Excellent in using English as business language and fluent in both written and spoken English
